The late summer Ford RS Club had a great turn out in Bangor. The usual suspects came along, some trailer queens and some minty mcmint machinery.
Old school Fords really are endearing, MkII's and especially 3 dr Cossies are hard to beat for their sheer visual drama. For rarity, we had the lovely original RS200 and then for a hour or so we were privileged to have the company of a sweet gold Hot Rod complete with Corvette engine. This was simply jaw droppingly stunning. I will have to make enquiries and see if I can find out more details of this car. Have a few pics of it below.

My Civic Type R
So one sunny Saturday morning in January I got the keys of my new Civic Type-R GT. All shiny and with that new car smell I set off pleased as punch. Some 8 months on here are some of the pics I have taken off it over this time. As a car, I love it most days, but sometimes it does irritate me. The build quality still isn't up there with VWs but then it cost a fair few quid less than a Golf GTi. And I still love my vtec.
Hard to beat the noise of this at 8,000 rpm. Sounds much more smooth and fluid than the old b-series vtecs. Anyway, this should keep me going until I get the M3!
I love the looks so much. Like a spaceship with an awesome interior. Anyone who appreciates design can't fail to be impressed with this car. Just check out the details like the filler cap, floor hinged electronic throttle and titanium gear knob.
Sun setting over Strangford Lough and Scrabo Tower after a little burn down the coast road.
Me in poser mood!

Trackskills Aug 2008
Today saw an unusually dry and bright day for the Trackskills day at Kirkistown. Another excellent turnout. I thought I would try out the fabled Canon nifty fifty lens for a change, but my conclusion is that it's not really suited to motorsport pictures.
I had to up the shutter speed to 1/50s to get a decent image. But it still struggled somewhat with the front of the cars in focus and the rest blurred. In future I'll stick with my kit 18-55 lens. Chris Rogan's little Clio 182 here is my favourite pic of the day.
